Today the weather continued to amaze us with blue skies and warn to hot temperatures. We passed through two more locks one of three feet and the Carillon lock of 65 feet. The second lock presented a challenge as the lock master had our boat raft off of Stan’s boat which didn’t leave much room to maneuver.
From there we zipped up the Ottawa River to Hawkesbury a location that Barb and I had been to three years before. Last time we stayed there it was free this time there was a charge! Considering they have no water or electric they should reconsider their fees or upgrade their mooring!
Tomorrow Barb and I will move the boat to a marina to take on gas, water and pump out. From there the two boats will continue up the Ottawa to visit the Chateau Montebello reportedly the largest log structure in the world! From there TBD!
