André LaLonde Marine Transient dock
South Nation River, Ontario, Canada

Barb and I fueled our boat then joined Stan who was waiting for us in the main channel! When we arrived at the Chateau Montebello there was enough room for Stan to dock his 48 foot Cat and no more. I slipped up to his port side and rafted off for we could visit the facility and have lunch. The ladies had time to do a little shopping and after lunch we headed up the Ottawa River looking for a place to anchor.

Stan led the way and found a dock that was off the main channel which he negotiated a special price to stay the night. Tomorrow we will probably stay in a marina in Ottawa or close to it before entering the Rideau Canal - our last leg of this year’s journey through Canada.

We have decided that once we are back into Lake Ontario at Kingston we will cross the lake to Oswego, NY. From Oswego, NY we will travel west on the Erie Canal to Buffalo, NY. From Buffalo follow the southern coast of Lake Erie to Put-in-Bay and visit some old friends before heading home!
