Marina Kitchissipi de Gatineau (just before Ottawa)
Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Today we wanted to get to Ottawa and we did. The weather continues to be hot but it’s better than rain and wind! The water temperature was warm to the touch.

There was a little mix up on which marina we were going to stay at but once resolved it was a great choice. The location is a few miles down stream from Ottawa off of the Ottawa River where the water is quiet. In addition to the calm water the marina is away from city lights and noise and the people are very welcoming. Tonight we will sleep in a cool boat as the marina has electricity.

I took the opportunity late in the day to wash the boat with soap and water and get the bug spots off. The next time will probably be Kingston before crossing Lake Ontario.

Tomorrow we will take a Gray Line Tour of the City before entering the Rideau Canal on Monday
