Waterford Visitors Center floating dock

I was awake early and out on the dock before . I noticed that the boat behind Quest was going to leave and open up a space so Barb and I prepared to move our boat when the space was available. By we had relocated and joined our group at a restaurant in town that was serving a $1.75 breakfast. We got there at and waited out side for a table for 15 minutes. Breakfast was great and we were told by people that live here it’s always $1.75!

The day was spent with all four boats doing maintenance and preparing for their next run north or west or------!

As we were all going our separate ways Monday we decided to dine out and celebrate our new and lasting friendships! Dinner was at McGreivey’s a very nice dining establishment, served quality food with great service.  When in port I would recommend stopping in!  Everyone was in great spirits and a great time was had by all. On the other side of the coin you’re never sure you’ll see each other again but for the moment it doesn’t get any better!

Tomorrow Quest and Carried Away will turn north and enter the Champlain Canal. Rickshaw will enter the Erie Canal and move west. Barb and I will spend an additional day or two here before cruising west on the Erie Canal to park our boat for a week in Brewerton, NY, rent a car and visit Dan and Jori in New Hampshire.

The plan now is to return to our boat on the 27th of June and rejoin Stan and Colleen on Next Endeavor then head into Canada and do the 1000 Islands, Montreal, Ottawa and Rideau Canal before returning to Lake Ontario!
