Rickshaw entering Lock 2
on Erie Canal

A beautiful day to sleep in but we didn’t. We didn’t want to miss seeing Rickshaw off. Jim and Belinda were the first to depart and moved their boat into the open lock close to our dock to head west on the Erie Canal. They are great folks to travel with.

A farmer’s market was set up at the water front which provided entertainment, fresh produce and plenty of home baked pastries.

Quest had a generator problem which delayed their departure until just before . Quest and Carried Away departed together which left Barb and me alone on the dock for a short period of time. Edyie and Rick on The Westie came over to visit which resulted in a drink on their boat later in the day. Tomorrow we hope to join them for another $1.75 breakfast up town.

Two days ago a boat that was trying to dock here hit three moored boats before it was secured. I didn’t see the accident but knew who and which boats were involved. The boat left yesterday only to return today and bump into our boat! There was no damage but that Captain might consider selling his boat! He put his boat in reverse then left the helm! I can attest to the fact that our dinghy makes a great bumper!
