At 6:15am Huen and Cricket were under way. The weather wasn’t the greatest but off they went.

Barb and I were off and running to catch the 11:00am marina shuttle to a local shopping center to pick up a few supplies. An hour and a half later we were back to the boat to off load our supplies then back into town to catch a water taxi to transport us to the USS Yorktown CV-10 (The Fighting Lady). We spent the remainder of the afternoon on board the carrier where I stirred up some old memories from my days on a carrier, the FDR CVA-42.

There was also a sub on display that was fun to walk through. She’s sitting in the salt water just rusting away. I wonder how long she’ll last before the salt water eats through her hull and takes her to the bottom!

Once back at the marina we stopped for a quick visit with Nancy and Mike on their boat “JMJ”. We had met them while doing our morning shopping and they had invited us to see their boat of three months. It’s a beautiful Cat xxx that they are learning to love.

By the time we returned to the boat we were dead tired and called it a night. Tomorrow Quest and Moor $tuff will head north.
