Dock in McClellanville |
We cruised for 40 miles today and docked a high tide at the Leland Oil Co. The length of the face dock were tied to, is shorter than the length of the two boats combined! Carl got tied up before I was able to use the wind to squeeze between Quest and a shrimp boat. I’m about two feet from Carl’s boat and the anchor of the shrimp boat is above our swim platform. Not much room for a mistake. To get off the boat we had to climb under the rail and use a ladder to reach the dock.

Sights walking to dinner |
Once off the boat the four of us walked to the only restaurant in town. We were instructed by a local to walk to the black top road turn right then turn left at the big oak tree. The tree measures 32 feet in diameter and is estimated to be 1000 years old. The town of 500 is quaint and filled with big old southern homes, large trees and numerous well maintained churches. A few blocks up the road is the restaurant, the only place in town with cars parked outside!
The T.W.Graham Seafood Restaurant has been featured on the food network! It was superb and I highly recommend it to any one in this reign. Everything about the place is down home and comfortable with the kitchen and staff in plain view.
