The parts for the outboard motor have arrived. It took less than one hour to replace the defective parts before I realized the parts shipped to me also had a problem! Once the replacement parts were cleaned and reassembled the motor started and ran well. I ran a full tank of gas through the engine with the thought that any hidden contamination has now been flushed out and it’s ready for service. I had plenty of help as Carl and Huen were there to assist, make suggestions and drink a few cold beers!

Low tide at our slip

Barb spent the day doing laundry and general chores.

The six of us ate at the marina restaurant – not especially good but close!

Huen has been having a health related problems and announced that he needed to return to Georgia for surgery. Tomorrow at first light Huen and Cricket and “Doc” will depart our flotilla and head south. We will sure miss both of them and the dog, as traveling with them has been a hoot! There’s a great chance that we will link up in the Chesapeake Bay beginning next season.

Barb and I have decided to put our boat in storage and return home early September.
