The flat water continues to hold making the cruise very pleasant. We had a full day moving 50 miles closer to Jacksonville . The tidal current isn’t that strong but never the less it pushed us toward Jacksonville a little faster with less fuel consumed. The St. Johns River is truly a beautiful river to encounter. I was surprised at how few boats we passed in both directions. It’s a long expensive trip due to fuel cost but well worth it. The St. Johns River is one more waterway on our bucket list to scratch off, once north of Jacksonville .

Tomorrow we have a short cruise day needed to position ourselves in Jacksonville to take advantage of the strong tide and currents in that area. If not timed right I will consume twice the fuel for this part of the river.
