Haircut

Leaving Bay Springs

Another great day! We started out by having our hair cut in the parts department by a charming beautician / gas attendant! Not only was she charming she did a great job. With all of our messing around - we still left the dock around 9:30 am!

Getting ready to leave Whitten lock

We called the lock before departing Bay Springs Marina and they had the door open as we approached the cell. We were dropped another 85 feet in record time. After two more locks and 18 miles we arrived at Midway Marina and entered a channel next to a grove of dead cypress tree stumps.

Boomer on the Tenn-Tom

The terrain is changing as we proceed south. The river bank is close to the water level of the river. We have the feeling that were about to enter a swamp.

Approaching Rankin Lock

Tonight we had a small dock party on the fly bridge of our boat with Chris, Bruce, Jim and Brenda who we mee at Joe Wheeler Marina. The three boats will travel together tomorrow and head for Aberdeen, Mississippi.

We will store the boat at Bay Point Marina in Panama City, Florida for the month of December while returning home on the 2nd for the holidays. We will return to the boat the 29th and prepare it for our trip crossing the Gulf to Tampa before moving down the west coast toward the Keys.
