Today started out with four Looper boats departing the Joe Wheeler State Park Marina. The boats were covered with ice and the dock wasn’t much better. The lines securing our boats to the dock cleats were stiff with ice and hard to loosen. Once free from the dock three boats headed south while Greg and Leslie in Amalia headed up river for a family gathering. We tried to convince them to follow us but family comes first as it should! With a little planning we could meet them somewhere in Florida early in 2012!

One of the three boats, ”Present Moment” stopped at Florence for the night while Bade Boomer and Moor $tuff cruised to Grand Harbor Marina an additional 41 miles.

Tomorrow Barb and I will cruise to Bay Springs to gain a little time needed to get the boat repaired later this week. Chris and Bruce can catch up with us at their leisure.
