Half Moon Bay Marina
Another perfect day today, warm temps, blue skies and great visibility!

Heaading north on the Hudson |
Our 35 mile cruise up the Hudson River to Half Moon Bay Marina was smooth and scenic. The three boats departed the marina at sharp. The river was choppy and turbulent until out of sight of the ferries before it calmed down and our enjoyable day began! Barb kept busy taking pictures and I kicked back and pointed the boat north up the Hudson . We arrived at our destination 4-1/2 hours later ready to stay put for a few days to a week!

Approaching the George Washington Bridge |
As I approached the sea wall of the marina I swung the wheel to port to make my turn into the marina when the steering failed ------ our boat went straight! Within seconds I had the boat under control but not my composure! Using both Engines and the wind I got to a face dock, and secured the boat before locating the problem. A shot glass full of hydraulic fluid fixed the problem and our adventure will continue!
Barb and I will start planning our trip forward while in port. We have so many options, and now that we have completed the loop were looking for new locations that we haven’t traveled to before.
