Charleston City Marina
Charleston, South Carolina

Barb and I took the 9am shuttle from the marina into the Charleston City Visitors center. We selected a tour package and were under way within minutes. The driver was full of information and directed us to other locations when we finished the tour. We took a ferry to the Fort Sumter then returned to our bus two hours later. From there we visited a historical house then started walking through the city. If you want to learn about a city I would highly recommend a tour to see the city up close and learn all the history at the same time. A good guide can weave all the pieces together in real time making the visit worthwhile.

Once on the street we walked for a few miles before finding a small Greek restaurant where we had a non sea food dinner. I have eaten so much seafood; I’m starting to grow gills! After dinner we walked back to the boat another mile or so!

On return to the marina we were walking to our boat and noticed Rodger and Kim from the AGLCA. After a quick visit on the dock we returned to our boat to kick off our shoes and have a cool drink and watch fireworks off in the distance.
