Monroe Harbour Marina
Sanford, Florida

I went from an ER room to a private room! More IV’s to rid my leg of the infection. While in the hospital the marina called and told me there was a mix up in scheduling and obtaining the parts needed to repair the outboard motor as scheduled! In addition to lying in bed in a strange city, I wouldn’t get my outboard repaired as promised! They were nice enough to carry it back to the boat and clamp it to its mount. They also put the parts in a zip lock bag and didn’t charge me for that excitement!

Friday:  Getting discharged from the hospital was unbelievable! Without going into detail I was up showered and dressed in street clothing by 9am expecting to be back to the boat by noon and under way by 1pm! I didn’t get discharged until 4:40 – just in time for a quick happy hour!

Shortly after returning to the boat we saw a large alligator swimming in the harbor. Within minutes two large manatees with their baby surfaced close by. The first manatee came up under the alligator and the second one swam up to the alligators head and gave it a good head bump! Whatever idea the alligator had ---- it changed its mind and the turf war was over! Within feet of the boat we also had two large turtles to add to the excitement!

Tomorrow we are out of here!
