Leaving Melbourne

Along the ICW

"LOVEBUGS"

The weather continues to be hot and hazy. The love bugs are every where. They were so thick when we entered the harbor; it was difficult to talk without getting them into your mouth! The boat is covered with the bugs that should blow away when the wind picks up or changes direction. I’ll believe it when I see it happen! The locals told us they nave never seen the bugs so thick!

Every one is feeling better after staying out of the sun for a day. The message here is to drink more water!

Cocoa in sight on the ICW

Now that were in port for four days, all three boats are waiting for service personal to make repairs on their boat. Nothing major just a good time to have some work done before heading north again. Our outboard motor needs some TLC ----- then we’ll be good to go!

Pulling into harbor in Cocoa

The Shuttle flight is still scheduled for Monday morning and we have a front row seat to watch it! This marina is quite beautiful located across the street from restaurants and other establishments that I once frequented when working at the Kennedy Space Center! I never imagined that I would return here in a boat – especially our boat!
