Port St. Joe Marina
Port St. Joe , Florida
Last night was a rock and roll night on our boat. It rained all through the night stopping around 10 am this morning. Today was a day for long pants and light jacket.

With little to do here because of the inclement weather, we (Carl, Ricki, Barb and I) drove to Apalachicola where we had lunch before driving to Carrabelle our next port of call. While in Carrabelle we made reservations for Jan. 10th to stay at the Moorings marina before crossing to Steinhatchee a port half way to Tarpon Springs.

In a perfect world with perfect weather we could depart from here and cruise to Carrabelle in one day. On the second day we would cruise a short distance to anchor out in a protected anchorage a few hours from Carrabelle. Day two buys us time extending our daylight hours for the following day. On day three we would arrive at Steinhatchee before night fall. Day four would place us in Tarpon Springs. This isn’t a perfect world so it will probably take a few days longer somewhere along the route due to weather!
There is another way to cross the Gulf from here but fuel and cruising at night are both factors that point to stopping at Steinhatchee.
