Tuesday – Day 32 – 9/2/08

Barb and I got to say good-by to Rose and Jerry as they untied the boat and gave her a shove into the channel. It was truly a sad moment but we still have a lot of adventure ahead and needed to get underway. The lake was as close to perfect as a body of water can be, at best one foot waves and no wind. With conditions that good we decided to take advantage and extend our day on the water and put some miles under us. At present we are docked 22 miles east of Cleveland, Ohio in Mentor Harbor. Every thing is closed because of the holiday yesterday except the gas dock, so it’s going to be early to bed and early to rise tomorrow. If the weather doesn’t change we will get another long day in. We are looking forward to getting to the Erie Canal and just kicking back!
