Isle of Hope Marina

The heat continues to cook us! The heat index was well over 100 degrees today. I was able to work on the shady side of the boat for about 3 hours before I had to get inside to cool down! The starboard side of the hull is free of the brown stains that accumulate when cruising. When the boat is moved again I’ll place the port side to the dock then clean the port side.

During the afternoon we took advantage of the marinas courtesy car and ran errands. It appears that we live in a cookie cutter world as the shopping malls look alike, are filled with the same stores laid out the same way with the same stuff on the shelves! Barb and I thought we were back in Illinois!

Tubby's Tank House

A trip to the barber shop, UPS, Bass Pro and West Marine before joining Cricket and Huen for dinner at Tubby’s Tank House a local restaurant. I’m getting spoiled with all of the fresh sea food available on the coast. The food and company continues to be five stars!

The outboard is now in the shop being repaired! In addition to the outboard I will have a zipper re sewn at the local canvas shop tomorrow ----- with luck!
