Day 153 – Saturday, November 13, 2010

88° 08.705’ W
32° 49.785’ N
At Anchor – mile 265.8 – Tombigbee Ox Bow
Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, Alabama

The boat appears to be working fine after removing the rope! I took a few minutes to check her out this morning and I feel she’s good to go!

Waiting for the lock to open

About 7:30 am we entered the river from where we spent the night and headed for the lock. At 8 am we entered the lock with four other boats and proceeded slowly south. We passed through two locks and moved 42 miles down river.

It's 5 o'clock!
Stan - Skip - Carl

Tonight we rafted three boats together – Moor$tuff to port, Next Endeavour center and Quest to starboard! We are ¾ of a mile off the river in a place called Tombigbee Ox-Bow. Once safely anchored and rafted – everyone pooled their food and wine for a very special dinner party.

It’s very dark and quiet outside - a good night to sleep. Tomorrow will come early so I’ll shut this computer off. With luck we will reach Demopolis, Alabama tomorrow.
